Chris Scarboro joined Hardcastle Burton as a trainee accountant in 2004, qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 2007. Chris was admitted as a partner of the practice in 2019.
Chris’ portfolio consists of a large number of SME’s across a diverse range of industries, from aircraft traders to wedding venues. In addition, a sizeable proportion of his portfolio contains agricultural businesses, with Chris acting for many farmers and Estates across the region.
Whilst overseeing the compliance service undertaken for his clients, including the preparation of statutory accounts and tax returns, Chris focuses heavily on business advisory services – including capital tax planning, succession planning, inheritance tax mitigation and the preparation of financial forecasts to assist his clients with applications for capital investment, asset finance and cashflow.
Away from the office, Chris and his wife are usually at the side of a sports field watching their two children participate in numerous sports and all of whom are now fellow supporters of Liverpool FC! Chris is also a keen motorsport enthusiast and can be found travelling the length and breadth of the country most weekends to spectate at events nationwide.
